Background
Attorney Janice Ampil-Gatbunton graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Speech Communications in 1992. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1996.
After earning the respect of her colleagues and gaining the trust of her clients, Atty. Gatbunton opened her own law office in January 2000. Since then, her practice has grown to encompass real estate transactions, estate planning matters, and consumer bankruptcy law. With over 28 years of legal experience, she continues to serve clients across Illinois and Wisconsin.
In addition to her role as a lawyer and solo practitioner, Atty. Gatbunton is also a licensed real estate broker. In 2005, she opened her own real estate brokerage, MAG-1 Realty. As a Realtor®, Janice has successfully helped countless homeowners, homebuyers, landlords, tenants, and investors achieve their real estate goals.
Outside her professional life, Janice is active in her church and her community. She enjoys participating in small groups and weekly Bible studies, and has proudly served as an elected official for several terms on the Board of Education for District 10.
